“I will marry whoever is able to save my brother,” said 24-year-old Huang Xiju, standing in front of Kunming train station in a wedding gown with her younger brother, who suffers from leukemia.

In contrast to the other travelers excitedly rushing home to celebrate Chinese New Year, Huang is full of anxiety as she tries to find her brother’s savior.

In her white gown, Huang stood out from the crowd. The sign in her hands explained her brother’s condition: “My little brother has leukemia. We borrowed more than 300,000 yuan ($48,000) for a bone marrow transplant, but complications after the surgery caused systemic sclerosis. We are now in need of 300,000 yuan more to ensure his full recovery.”

She said she was looking for a husband who’s willing to help them pay the medical expenses because they don’t have enough money. Apparently she’s dressed and ready to marry her future husband straight away.

“I am even ready to take the train home with him to register our marriage.”

The sign provides her name, saying she’s from Zhijin County in Guizhou Province, 24 years old, 4’9 tall, and has a junior college degree.

She welcomed anyone interested to verify her brother’s condition at the hospital with her brother’s doctor’s name provided. Finally and most importantly, she added: “Serious inquiries only!”

To cure her brother, the family got into a lot of debt over the last three years, and their mom even passed away a month ago, after a bad fall while looking after him, according to Epoch Times.

Despite these tragic circumstances, the Huang Xiju has stayed strong, and instead taken responsibility by sacrificing her own happiness in exchange for her brother’s health.

The photos got plenty of attention from bloggers, and mainland media after they were posted on Weibo on Jan. 24. Hopefully this way she can find a kind-hearted man sooner.
