See Why Americans are Playing Pro-Basketball in Strife Torn Iraq

There’s a dozen or so Americans playing professional basketball in Iraq and they’re making okay money, as much as $20,000 a month.

But is it worth the paycheck considering what’s going on there?

In the above video we meet two of them – Brandon and Chad – who both hail from South Carolina and they’re not real enamored by Baghdad.

What’s more:

They’re ready to bug out if things get too dangerous.

“Chad’s scared to go out in Baghdad, and he scares me, so…we just go straight to practice and straight back to the hotel,” says Brandon.

Out of the nine teams playing in Iraq’s pro-competition, eight have American players on their side.
