Andy Serkis will play Black Panther and Avengers enemy Ulysses Klaw in the upcoming Avengers film.

The master of motion capture will face the Avengers.

Serkis is known more for his motion capture work, giving life to computer generated characters in The Lord of the Rings, King Kong, and the recent films based on The Planet of the Apes. In Avengers he’s helping give movement to Ultron and the Hulk.

Expect better motion capture technology than you’ve ever seen before. Ulysses Klaw is a master of sound, and he can project sonic imagery. This leaves Serkis a circus of possibilities.

Ulysses Klaw has the power to project sound into living images. Imagine how this could play out off the comic book page and you know we are in for some incredible visuals and sound.

Klaw vs. Black Panther

Ulysses Klaw is intertwined into the origin of Black Panther. He was the villain who murdered Black Panther’s father and village in search of vibranium, compelling young T’Challa to become Black Panther. Ultron was defeated by another strain of vibranium found in the arctic, in the comics. Captain America’s shield is partially composed of vibranium. Black Panther’s village contains the largest supply of vibranium. Black Panther has to be in this film.

And if Klaw and Black Panther both appear in this film, the next logical move would be for both of them to be in the long-rumored, 2018, Black Panther solo film. It would depend on how much screen time both characters receive, and whether Age of Ultron hints at a deeper conflict for Panther, so it can spin off into an origin story.
