French designer Thomas works for the world famous Holland-based brand XD Design. When he visited China a few years ago, he noticed that wherever he went, either on a bus or subway, most people stood or sat with their arms around their day bags. It was obvious that they were afraid of pickpockets. Why did people have to be so fearful and worried during their commutes.
He was not happy to see this and was determined to design a worry-free day bag to allow people to go anywhere without fear of theft.
Back home in France, he started work to design an anti-theft bag. He knew that the bag must be made of cut-proof material, have hidden zipper closures, and secret pockets to keep belongings safe during commutes. It also had to be lightweight and convenient to use.
He eventually succeeded, and designed not only the world’s safest backpack, but also one with some of the most convenient features, such as: An integrated USB charging port, weight balance, water repellent fabric, illuminating safety strips, and a luggage strap.
