Here’s the deal – everyone can make their life better, even if they’re completely satisfied with the way things are at the moment. To make the most out of each day, we’ve compiled a list of 9 ways to improve your life in 2017.
1. Switch to books
In the Internet era, most people have forgotten about books. Now you can enjoy e-books, audio books, PDF format books, and similar, but nothing beats the sound and the feeling of paper books. If you want to get more out of life, get back to your roots – books.
2. Make every weekend a personal vacation
Every week is busy for people nowadays, and we tend to stuff our weekends with tasks, mainly because we think we will have more time on our hands. The fact is – weekends are there so that you can relax and enjoy yourself after a week of hard work.
3. Get a new hobby/enter a sport
Every time you take up a new hobby, you will get enthusiastic, even if you’re not particularly talented. Doing something you’ve never done before is a thrilling experience, and you can repeat this process for as long as you wish. Try playing a piano or a guitar, play soccer, be creative.
4. Brew coffee or tea in a new way
You’d be surprised at how many ways there are to brew a single cup of coffee or tea. Simply boiling the water and adding the coffee beans or tea leaves can do the job, but why not go an extra mile? Decorate your coffee and tea with extra ingredients, put some effort in it, and savor the tastefulness of your creation.
5. Take time to appreciate yourself
You are wonderful and beautiful, but you need to know that without anyone telling you. Take your time to appreciate yourself, to appreciate what you’ve done, and where you are right now. Appreciate how life turned out, and be grateful for the small pleasures in life.
6. Exercise – make your own gym
You don’t need to build the very foundations of your gym – simply redecorate and buy simple training gear. You only need to clear out some space in your garage or basement so that you can actually practice without obstructions, and buy simple gear – a jump rope, medicine ball, small weights, and such.
Building a gym will improve your mood instantly – you will no longer have any excuses for “let’s skip that leg day,” or “it’s raining, no gym today.” For more information on building your own gym, take a look at Garagegymplanner.com.
7. Spend one day per week away from social media platforms
The world is following a trend of “no social media day,” so, why shouldn’t you? This will give you more time to enjoy everything else, and relax for a while.
8. Come up with a special day
“Movie Friday,” “Jogging Tuesday,” “Piano Monday” – these are just some of the recommendations. Come up with a day when you do something special, and you may end up being a happier person.
9. Buy yourself something nice every now and then
Every time you buy something new, you get instant bliss with the package. The excitement and joy of buying a new item makes you feel uplifted, and you should practice this at least once a month.
