Have You Seen Cirque Du Soleil’s KOOZA?

Bringing together some of the finest acrobats and craziest performers from around the globe, Cirque du Soleil returns with KOOZA, an enthralling circus spectacle packed with endless thrills and mind-boggling surprises.

Since their debut in 2007, the company has grown from a group of street performers to a world-class extravaganza, with over 3,000 performances on record. This year marks their eighth Big Top tour in Australia.

Watch their high-wire act — it will have you wondering how they are not falling off:

The production of KOOZA reveals an intimate rediscovery of traditional circus, where a combination of extreme acrobatics and brilliant clowning is used to narrate the show. The name originates from the Sanskrit word “Koza” which means “chest” or “treasure.”

From this magical chest emerges an international cast of 50 acrobats, musicians, singers, and actors from 19 different countries presenting fearless acrobatic feats and laugh-out-loud antics to a live soundtrack fusion of jazz, funk, and Bollywood beats.

Watch the Wheel of Death act:

The performance follows The Innocent, a small boy who represents the child within every person, as he journeys inside a strange fantasia world filled with mystery and danger. Through a colourful explosion of eccentric characters, glamorous costumes, and out-of-the-box surprises, KOOZA weaves together a tale of self-discovery, fear, and power.

From contortionists to tightrope walkers and clown jugglers, the stage of KOOZA comes alive with everything a circus would have and more, delivered with a pulse-racing strength and bizarre twist that makes it a must-see for the whole family.
