A unique interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS reached its perihelion—the point in its orbit closest to the Sun—on Oct. 29, attracting wide attention not only for its unprecedented astronomical behavior but also for a controversial theory that it has a possible connection to extraterrestrial life.
While comet 3I/ATLAS was obscured by the Sun and undetectable by Earth-based telescopes during its closest approach, NASA’s solar observation satellites successfully captured key data.
Scientists found that the comet underwent an unusually rapid brightening in the weeks leading to the perihelion, far exceeding that of typical comets. Furthermore, 3I/ATLAS emitted light bluer than the Sun itself, suggesting intense outgassing activity.
Analysis revealed that the comet’s rate of luminosity increase far exceeded that of most comets within the solar system, indicating that it released far more material under solar heating than expected. While ordinary comets typically reflect sunlight in reddish hues, 3I/ATLAS displayed a distinct, vivid blue, caused by excited gas molecules reacting to solar radiation. Such powerful gas emissions suggest that the comet’s composition and internal processes differ sharply from known cometary bodies.
Scientists believe 3I/ATLAS may be among the largest interstellar objects ever discovered, with an estimated age of up to seven billion years. Its strange properties are now challenging existing scientific understanding of how comets form and evolve.

A ‘Trojan Horse’ from the stars?
The comet’s unique properties prompted Harvard professor Avi Loeb to put forth a bold hypothesis about 3I/ATLAS. Loeb noted that by Oct. 29, the object had completed roughly half of its passage through the solar system.
He suggested that 3I/ATLAS might not be a naturally occurring comet at all, but potentially an artifact of intelligent life. According to Loeb, the comet is emitting metallic compounds that could only be manufactured rather than organic—a feature that raises the possibility of 3I/ATLAS being a cosmic “Trojan Horse,” potentially hiding a threat behind the facade of a celestial body.
This theory has resonated with those who recall the prophecies of Baba Vanga, the late Bulgarian mystic who predicted human contact with extraterrestrial beings. Some now wonder if 3I/ATLAS could be the herald of such a moment.
Meanwhile, American minister and author Perry Stone recently shared a striking dream he believes to be a warning of impending social upheaval in the United States.
In the dream, Stone saw two long, narrow tornadoes forming in the distance, followed by a massive hurricane moving toward a valley. Amid these catastrophic scenes, he saw a vision of a Walmart store, where people were panicking and rushing to hoard supplies, focused solely on their own survival.
As the storm advanced, Stone led a group to a large boulder, urging them to build a fortified refuge around it—a final sanctuary. In the dream’s closing moments, the devastating winds faded away without wiping out the population.
Stone interpreted the dream as a spiritual allegory, emphasizing that faith and moral clarity are humanity’s true protection in turbulent times. The Walmart setting, he said, symbolizes material dependence and fear-driven selfish behavior that dominates during a crisis.
It is believed the message is clear: while chaos and instability may arrive suddenly, complete destruction is not inevitable. In times of uncertainty, humanity must return to traditional values, act with kindness and righteous faith, and help one another. Through such virtues, people can find guidance, protection, and strength to endure the storms ahead.
