Holiday Message from New York State Assemblymember Paula Elaine Kay

(100th Assembly District)

“Dear friends and neighbors,

As the holiday season continues and Hanukkah begins, I’m sending warm wishes to every family across the 100th Assembly District. Whether you’re lighting a menorah, decorating a tree, gathering with loved ones, or simply taking a well-earned pause at the end of the year, I hope your home is filled with peace, comfort, and joy.

Sadly, the lightness of this season has been dampened by news of inconceivable violence in Australia. I am grieving the terrible attack on a Hanukkah event on Bondi Beach in Sydney. My heart is with the families who are mourning, those who were injured, and the brave people who ran toward danger. Though the tragedy occurred far from home, it profoundly affects our global community.

We all play a role in making the world a safer, kinder place. Here at home, we can honor one another by coming together across faiths, backgrounds, and traditions. I encourage you to check in on a neighbor, stand with our community, and choose kindness and unity over division.

Happy holidays from my family to yours. I wish you a safe, healthy, and hopeful New Year.

Yours in service,”

Paula Elaine Kay, Assemblymember, NYS 100th Assembly District
