The Tuidang movement, started in November 2004, encourages Chinese around the world to renounce their oaths made to lay down their lives for communism when they joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or its affiliated youth organizations. Over the past two decades, hundreds of millions of people have given their assumed or real names to voice their separation from the CCP, the single most deadly regime in human history.
At the forefront of urging Chinese to take part in the Tuidang movement are adherents of Falun Gong, a traditional spiritual discipline that the CCP banned in 1999 and has severely persecuted since. Here, Vision Times presents some recent statements from those who have quit the Party, translated from the Chinese.
Quitting the CCP’s Party, League, and Pioneers (July 31, 2025)
The common people all know in their hearts that the Communist Party is evil, corrupt, and wicked. My salary and pension come from taxpayers’ money, yet the Party squanders the people’s blood and sweat while producing no value whatsoever. Today, I declare the voluntary withdrawal of my family and I from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations (Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers). We also publicly express our admiration and support for Falun Gong, while strongly condemning the CCP’s atrocities and lies against this group.
Falun Gong, with its core tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance” teaches people to be kind and cultivate themselves, which has brought physical and spiritual well-being to countless people. I have deeply felt the positive energy it conveys, and I believe this pursuit of truth is exactly what our society needs. However, the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners brutally for decades, fabricating lies and slandering them, even going as far as harvesting their organs.
These crimes against humanity are truly heinous. The Party claims to “serve the people,” yet it abuses power for selfish gain, engages in rampant corruption, suppresses free speech, and robs people of their faith and dignity. Such a regime, running counter to the values of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance, has long lost the hearts of the people.
I support the courage and persistence of Falun Gong practitioners and hope that the light of “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance” can illuminate more hearts. I hope for a future society without oppression, one filled with justice.

I am a professor at Tsinghua University (a prestigious technical school in Beijing), and suffered repercussions during the crackdown on the democracy movement in 1989. I am in poor health and don’t want to stay in China. I want to go to the U.S., but I’m not allowed to leave — they won’t process my paperwork.
One of our professors disappeared without a trace. We tried to go to court, but no one would take the case. This Party is finished. Xi Jinping is done for.

‘Living under CCP rule, anyone can become the next victim’: A Sichuan resident quits the Young Pioneers (July 23, 2025)
I was born into a poor rural family in Sichuan Province. As a child, I was brainwashed by the CCP’s red education and joined the Young Pioneers without knowing any better, swearing an oath under the national flag. Over time, I came to sense the Party’s hypocrisy; the country was nothing like the propaganda claimed. I grew suspicious and resentful towards the Party.
Last year, I happened to go on the internet while in another country and learned how to bypass the Great Firewall [when I returned to China]. For the first time, I saw the truth about the CCP: its evil nature, the lies it tells, and the atrocities it has committed against the Chinese people — evils too numerous to list. I realized that this evil regime was the root cause of my personal misfortunes. Living under CCP rule, anyone can become the next victim.
This evil continues even today. The CCP not only persecutes the Chinese people but aims to dominate the world, inciting wars and bullying its neighbors while exporting its evil ideology. It has committed countless inhuman crimes since its founding, yet shamelessly portrays itself as a savior, constantly deceiving the world. It is truly disgusting!
Now that I know the truth, I hereby declare my withdrawal from the Young Pioneers. I swear to forever sever ties with the evil Communist Party! I may have once applied to join the Youth League or even considered Party membership — now I renounce all of it.

‘This red flag was dyed with the blood of tens of millions’: A Hunan resident quits the CCP (July 19, 2025)
My name is Hu Qian, born under the “red flag,” and raised on lies upon lies.
As a child I wore the red scarf, and sang the song “Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China,” never aware that this red flag was dyed with the blood of tens of millions. Later, I joined the Youth League, hoping to serve the people. But as I grew, I realized that “the people” never included me.
The Party claims to be “great, glorious, and correct,” but what I saw was:
- Violent “stability maintenance” (a euphemism referring to crackdowns on political dissent) to cover up the truth
- Propaganda used to control thought and speech
- Class struggle destroying families
- Lies and quid pro quos used to ensure the regime’s survival
I wasn’t stupid or blind, I was only too trusting.
Now, I choose to sever ties with the dark shadow that devours freedom and truth.

I withdraw from the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers.
I am no longer a Young Pioneer, and I no longer acknowledge any prior affiliation.

A childhood experience leads to quitting the CCP (July 16, 2025)
I was born into a very poor family. Around the age of 10, I saw a phrase on a five-yuan bill: “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party*, Quit the Party for Blessing.” I didn’t understand it then.
As I grew up and gained access to the internet, I looked up what the “Nine Commentaries” was. One day, I clicked a link and a window popped up. That’s when I first learned the truth about the CCP’s crimes since its founding, especially its persecution of Falun Gong, organ harvesting from living victims, and the massacre of students at Tiananmen Square in 1989. These revelations shocked and enraged me. I realized that the CCP is a regime that opposes humanity, faith, and freedom.
From that moment, I resolved in my heart to break free from the Party’s psychological control and to withdraw from the Young Pioneers and Youth League I was forced to join as a child. I firmly believe that only by distancing myself from the CCP can I achieve true freedom and peace.

I am 78 years old and a retired senior cadre who worked in the system for nearly 40 years. From my youth when I joined a government office to eventually holding an important post in the political and legal system of a prefecture-level city, I was once deeply loyal to the “Party” and firmly believed in the theory of the “dictatorship of the proletariat.” In my youth, I took pride in wearing the red scarf and solemnly raised my right fist, my heart filled with idealism, when joining the Youth League and later the Communist Party.
However, after retiring, I finally had time to think independently and study the real history that had been suppressed for decades. I witnessed the tens of millions who starved to death during the three years of famine, the tragic fate of innocent intellectuals during the Anti-Rightist Campaign, and the countless families torn apart during the Cultural Revolution. I began to reflect: What kind of system have we been upholding? In our ignorance, have we helped maintain a power machine that sacrifices truth and humanity?
Especially seeing my grandchildren’s generation still unable to freely express themselves or access truthful education under this system, I feel increasingly guilty. I devoted my youth to this system, but I do not wish to leave this world hanging onto a pack of lies.
Therefore, today I solemnly declare that I quit the Communist Youth League and the Communist Party which I once joined. Though this may seem trivial in terms of the system, it is a long-overdue but necessary reckoning for my soul.
May future generations not repeat our blind faith and silence. May this land one day accommodate diverse voices and truly realize the ideal of “serving the people”, not merely use it as an empty slogan.

A northeastern Chinese family quits the CCP (July 10, 2025)
I hereby declare my withdrawal from the Young Pioneers and am also helping my father, mother, and younger brother withdraw from the same (none of us ever joined the Communist Youth League or Communist Party). All of this is done voluntarily.
I was born in 1983 and am 42 years old this year. In 2009, when the CCP blocked YouTube, I came across the software Freegate. From that point on, I understood everything.
Though I live in the country governed by the CCP, my soul has long separated from it. I don’t believe in the CCP one bit. My friends call me extreme, and I sympathize with them but also feel sorrow. I sympathize because they’re deceived by lies and afraid of persecution, unable to speak the truth. I feel sorrow because they don’t understand what I’ve come to know. I’ve tried so hard to tell the truth to everyone I know — even strangers — hoping those with good fortune would listen. Some think I’m a fool, some a lunatic, some even threaten me. But none of that matters. What matters is I’m doing the right thing. I am someone who, once I recognize evil, will never compromise.
I’m not a suspicious person by nature. But in the CCP’s country, no matter how trusting one is — as long as you dare open your eyes and ears and observe — you’ll understand the reality: the CCP devours human souls. This is the truth.
Let me share a story. I once worked for my local community (quit in 2012 because it was too disgusting). My home was in the jurisdiction of the community I worked for. Once, a deputy director from the security team led us to intercept Falun Gong practitioners distributing flyers. I happened to be walking into my building when I saw a woman distributing flyers — a woman in her 60s. She was terrified. I immediately pulled her into my home and told my family to let her leave after 6 PM, because the community office closed at 4:30. I wanted to keep her safe. She was afraid at first, not knowing who I was, but after I told her the truth and safely escorted her out, she finally felt at ease and thanked me. I felt deeply saddened — why is it that something so normal in a civilized country is so dangerous in the CCP’s China?
The pain of medical care, the difficulty of education, the hardships of retirement, the toxicity of food — one thing after another is unbearable. I am someone with an extremely low “pain threshold.” I cannot take it anymore. I long for the dawn to arrive here.
By Heaven’s blessing, during the CCP virus pandemic, I refused to get vaccinated and constantly reminded my family to do the same. None of us were infected. Heaven has not treated us poorly.
Therefore, I solemnly declare that I and my family are quitting the CCP’s affiliated organization [the Young Pioneers]. We will never side with the demon Satan, nor with the Communist cult that harms humanity and this planet.
