Her journey began in one of the most uncertain times in recent history: the pandemic. While the world slowed down, her ambition sped up. She started her business right from home, going live while hand-making custom tumblers, T-shirts, and candles—each one crafted with love, hustle, and a little New York attitude. What began as a small at-home hustle grew into something bigger: Janoy Boutique, a brand built on originality, resilience, and the bold spirit of Harlem.

When she moved to Middletown in Orange County, NY, she found the perfect space—a bright, open store big enough to showcase handbags and clothing, and to create her products on-site. Today, she continues to design with the same energy and passion that started it all, offering bold, stylish, and one-of-a-kind pieces for people who love to stand out.
Janoy Boutique specializes in personalized and customized gifts, including hand-poured soy candles, T-shirts, hats, tumblers, and wine glasses—perfect for any occasion. Her creations range from joyful keepsakes, like custom baby shower T-shirts or wedding candles, to deeply sentimental pieces, such as Christmas ornaments holding a loved one’s photo for a family coping with loss. Among her best-loved products is Janoy Shea Butter, an all-natural blend that nourishes hair and skin. “It’s for all types, made with raw shea butter and organic ingredients,” she explains. “My regular clients swear by it.”
For Tyrina, being an entrepreneur is about more than business—it’s about legacy. As a single mother, she treasures the flexibility to be there for her children while building something lasting for them. One of her most touching memories came from a woman who told her that during the pandemic, while sick with COVID, she found comfort watching Tyrina’s Facebook Live sales. “She said it felt like a TV show she looked forward to,” Tyrina recalls. “I’m shy by nature, but hearing that made me realize how much this little boutique could touch people’s lives.”
Now, at 44, Tyrina is more committed than ever to growing Janoy Boutique—not just as a store, but as a creative hub where community and personal connection come first. “If you come in with an idea,” she says, “I’ll find a way to make it happen. Because it’s not just a gift—it’s a memory.”
