The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on Jan. 15 released its latest recall notice, showing that nine of the 11 consumer products recalled during the past week were manufactured in China.

The recalled items include more than 40,000 bottles of hair growth serum, over 12,000 baby products, and 170 bicycle helmets. The CPSC said the products pose serious safety hazards, including risks of choking, injury, electric shock, fire, and, in some cases, potential fatal harm.

Consumers were urged to stop using the affected products immediately and to follow recall instructions to obtain refunds or replacements.

China-made products included in the recall list

RootStim Beard Growth Serum

About 16,900 bottles were recalled. The product was manufactured by Guangzhou Ronghui Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. in China and distributed by RootStim LLC of Maryland. It was sold online via Amazon between 2024 and 2025.

The CPSC said the product contains elevated levels of minoxidil and lacks child-resistant packaging, posing a risk of serious injury or death if ingested by children. Consumers were advised to keep the product out of children’s reach and contact the company for a replacement.

Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum

Approximately 25,000 bottles were recalled. The product was manufactured in China and sold on Amazon between January and July 2025.

According to the CPSC, the packaging does not meet child-safety standards, creating a poisoning risk if swallowed. Consumers were instructed to contact the company for a replacement.

Greatale Self-Feeding Baby Pillow

About 1,260 units were recalled. The product was manufactured by Xiamen Weiqiao Ewangluokeji Co., Ltd. in China and sold on Amazon between September 2024 and July 2025.

The pillow’s bottle angle can increase the risk of aspiration and choking. Consumers were advised to destroy the product and email proof of disposal to obtain a refund.

RXY Adult Bicycle Helmet

Roughly 170 helmets were recalled. The helmets were manufactured by Tanghe Jinyuan Liyue Trading Co., Ltd. in China and sold on Amazon between September and November 2025.

The helmets failed to meet federal impact safety standards and may not adequately protect riders in a crash. Consumers were told to stop using the helmets immediately and contact the seller.

BBWOO Infant Recliner

About 11,900 units were recalled. The product was manufactured in China by LSY Direct and sold on Amazon between July 2024 and November 2025.

The CPSC said the foam sleep pad does not securely restrain infants, creating fall, entrapment, and suffocation hazards. Consumers were instructed to destroy the product and contact the company for a refund.

KEAWIS Infant Mattress

Approximately 1,500 mattresses were recalled. The product was manufactured in China and sold on Amazon between August 2024 and July 2025.

The mattresses do not meet federal size requirements, posing entrapment and suffocation risks. Consumers were advised to contact the company for a refund.

HEZI Power Outlet

About 1,320 units were recalled. The outlets were manufactured by Dongguan Keben Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. in China and sold through Amazon, eBay, Kmart, and Sears between May 2024 and October 2025.

The CPSC said the outlets have ungrounded metal housings that can become energized, creating an electric shock hazard. Consumers were urged to stop using the product and contact the manufacturer for a refund.

Energizer High-Power Indicator Light

Approximately 4,100 units were recalled. The lights were sold between January and November 2025 through Meijer, Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Fleet Wholesale, and Amazon.

The lithium-ion batteries may overheat, posing a burn risk. Consumers were advised to stop using the product and contact Energizer. The retail price ranged from $35 to $45.

Frigidaire Mini Refrigerator

About 330,000 units were recalled nationwide. The refrigerators were sold at Target stores and on Target’s website.

The CPSC said internal electrical components may short-circuit, thereby increasing the risk of fire.

Products not manufactured in China

Two recalled products were not made in China. A children’s pajama set sold under the Morgan Lane brand was manufactured in India. An Adirondack patio chair sold under the Adams RealComfort brand was manufactured in the United States and sold through Lowe’s and Home Depot.

The CPSC reiterated that consumers should immediately stop using recalled products, keep hazardous items away from children, and follow recall instructions to obtain refunds or replacements.
