Families in the Hudson Valley have long sought healthcare providers who combine expertise with a personal touch—and New Windsor Pediatrics & Family Care has been doing just that since 1999. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Ariel Pedoeem, a family medicine physician, and Barbara Cintron, office manager, to learn more about the practice and the wide range of services it offers for both children and adults.

Dr. Pedoeem, who oversees patient care at the Newburgh office, shared how the practice has grown over the years. “We still continue with pediatrics, and now we also see adults. We do urgent care, wellness visits, and preventative medicine. The growth has come from getting our name out in the community and doing a good job—word of mouth spreads slowly but surely. Adding adult care has helped too.”

Barbara explained her role and how she supports the practice across both locations. “I’m the office manager for the entire practice. We have two offices: our main office in New Windsor and our newer addition in Newburgh. My role is to manage day-to-day operations, make sure everything runs smoothly, patients are content, and the staff is supported. I also handle marketing and community outreach so families know we are here to serve them.”

Being an independent, privately owned practice allows New Windsor Pediatrics & Family Care to provide personalized care that larger hospital systems often cannot. “We don’t have to go through all the regulations and rules, and we’re a little more flexible with patients,” Dr. Pedoeem said. “They’re able to get appointments easier, and if they’re sick, they don’t have to go somewhere else. We allow more flexibility and accommodation for the patient.”

Newborns to adults benefit from having a trusted practice that can care for multiple generations. “It’s good to have a practice that you’re familiar with,” Dr. Pedoeem said. “You know who the staff are, what to expect, and where to go if there’s a problem or question. It makes life easier when everyone feels comfortable.”

Comprehensive services under one roof

New Windsor Pediatrics & Family Care offers a wide range of services for children, teens, and adults. “For pediatrics, we provide physicals, wellness exams, allergy testing, mental health services, lactation support, nutrition counseling, ADHD management, same-day visits, and urgent care,” Dr. Pedoeem said. “Anything children or adolescents go through, we can manage—or at least serve as a good starting point.”

Barbara emphasized the practice’s family-centered mission: “Our slogan is ‘Keeping your family happy and healthy.’ We become part of the family. Many of our patients started out as young parents and have now brought in their children. We’ve built a rapport with them, so keeping them healthy and happy is important—they return with the next generation.”

Families can rely on the practice for urgent care as well. Dr. Pedoeem explained, “If they’re busy, they can call, text, or walk in. Anything that would normally bring a patient to urgent care—cold illness, minor injuries, or lacerations—they can come to us for the same treatment.” Barbara added, “We try to share the load among providers so patients see the doctor they’re familiar with. The number of urgent visits varies day to day, but we make it work.”

Holistic and collaborative care

Mental health and developmental support are also key priorities. “We have four therapists, a psychologist, and a nutritionist,” Dr. Pedoeem said. “We help with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and more. The team collaborates so patients receive comprehensive care as quickly as possible.”

Additional services include allergy care, sports medicine, ultrasound, and eye care, all available under one roof. “Patients feel comfortable knowing they can get most of what they need in one place,” Dr. Pedoeem said.

A family-oriented culture

Barbara described the practice culture as friendly and family-like: “Everyone is friendly. We like to say we’re a family here away from our family. We try to keep everyone smiling and provide service with a smile.”

With offices in both New Windsor and Newburgh, the practice serves families across the Hudson Valley, including some who travel from New Jersey. “We are a staple in the community,” Barbara said. “We become part of the family, and the families become part of ours.”

Why families should consider New Windsor Pediatrics & Family Care

Dr. Pedoeem encourages families seeking a new provider to know that the practice offers personalized, comprehensive care for adults and children alike. “We’re here to help, for primary care, preventative medicine, sick visits, and more. Families are always welcome to call, text, or come in to see who we are. We aim to make them happy and meet their needs.”
