China Corruption: I Still Have Power Even in Prison

China corruption is rampant. A high-ranking official in the Chinese Communist Party was jailed for corruption. His son could not find a job after graduating from college, and complained about the matter when visiting his father.

So the father wrote a note and told his son to take it to a former subordinate of his. However, the son was doubtful, and said: “You aren’t in that position anymore. Will this work?”

The father replied confidently: “When I was in the government, I could make anyone an official if I wished. Now, I’m in prison. I can still make anyone end up in prison if I wish. Don’t worry, my son. This note is as good as ever!”
