A handicapped couple in their thirties had an online commitment ceremony in 2011, but have never been together because they live about 750 miles apart, and their parents don’t approve of the match.

Ai Na, 36, from Hubei Province, and Sun Wenguang, 36, from Shandong Province met online in a chat room in 2007, according to Wenweipo.

They were both born with cerebral palsy, and are cared for by their parents. The couple hope to meet one day and be able to embrace each other, but for now they can only communicate via text messages and video chats.

They made a photoshopped wedding picture to go with their ceremony.
