Chinese-Japanese-American Comedian Laughs at the Multicultural Experience

Asian-Americans have problems that others wouldn’t understand. That’s what I learned watching Sierra Katow.

Every culture has its problems. Every culture has its good points and bad points. But I can identify with Sierra. I can identify with people believing you should fit in with a certain culture based on your appearance.

For Sierra, it’s because she’s an American of multicultural Asian descent. For me, it’s because I’m an American of mixed ancestry. I guess there are bigger things we could be worried about, but people constantly assuming you can speak a certain language that you can’t speak, or that you’re from a place which you aren’t from, can be a constant, daily annoyance. But at least we can all watch Sierra and laugh about it.
