Last time I watched a Brad Pitt film he was fighting zombies and now in Fury he’s taking on the Nazis at the closing stages of the Second World War in Europe.
In his latest film, Pitt plays a Sherman tank commander in charge of a crew of characters portrayed by Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Jon Bernthal.
Directed by David Ayer, Fury opened in the U.S. on Friday and it has largely been positively received by critics, earning an 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Fury is a big step up in sophistication. Where it elevates itself from being merely a believably grimy, well-acted war drama is in its long and surprising middle act,” wrote one critic (Chris Klimek for NPR in a review that needed a spoiler alert!).
Fury also topped the box office over the weekend pulling in $23.5 million says Forbes.
In the above AP video, Pitt and LaBeouf talk with press at the London Film Festival about their experiences during the making of the film.
