After two days of police clearances in Hong Kong, a large number of people tried to occupy Mong Kok again late on Nov. 27 using a new creative idea.

In the photos, the demonstrators are making a three-finger salute, raising their right hands with the thumb touching the little finger to express their aspirations for freedom.

This is the gesture used by District 12 in the movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, showing thanks, and admiration to a loved one as they say goodbye.

If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll remember this part, and understand the current situation in Hong Kong.
