This is a quick and easy way to get rid of a cough caused by colds and flu. This old Chinese medicine remedy is gentle enough for all ages, even for pregnant women — what’s more, it’s delicious too! What is it, you ask? It’s called sugar steamed egg

It is very simple to make — here’s how to do it:

Method

1. Break an egg into a bowl and leave it whole

After you have finished, brush your teeth and go to bed.  The symptoms should be gone when you wake up the next morning. Steamed egg with white sugar is good for a cough accompanied by a dry or sore throat, a dry nose, or when there is yellowish phlegm. If the cough is accompanied by a fever with a clear running nose, steam the egg with brown sugar instead.

If the flu or cold is in its early stages, eating this once will be enough. If the cold or flu has already taken hold, try the remedy three days in a row.
