When the dragon, commander of all animals, decided to punish worms with three names, both earthworms and maggots decided to take refuge.

Maggot asked earthworm: “How did you get three names?”

Earthworm said: “Well, the literates call me earthworm, the illiterates call me ringworm, and farmers call me farmers’ best friend.”

Earthworm asked maggot: “What are your three names?”

Maggot replied: “Larva, maggot, and book-worm.”

Earthworm asked: “Since you are a book-worm, please tell me something about kindness, righteousness, and morality from the books.”

Maggot frowned and said: “Since I have feces in my heart, I do not remember any virtues from the books.”
