In a quiet classroom in Pingtung, Taiwan, a young boy once sat withdrawn and filled with anger. Diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger’s syndrome, he had a history of running away from home, rejecting affection, and lashing out at those who tried to help him, including his own mother. But over the course of three years, something extraordinary happened. Through the patience and persistence of one teacher — and the help of a unique digital platform called Gan Jing Campus — his life was forever transformed.
That teacher, Ms. Chen Jing-Rong, recently earned Taiwan’s highest national teaching honor, the prestigious Shih-Duo Award, issued by the Ministry of Education on July 18, 2025. Her moving story, which has since gained international attention, underscores the quiet revolution happening in classrooms with the support of Gan Jing Campus — a branch of the Gan Jing World platform dedicated to education.

Through her work at the campus and via her premium channel, Ms. Chen shared everything from reading reflections to art projects to real-life lessons in kindness — more than 100 videos in total. Her project, called “Sky’s the Limit,” integrated character-building content with creative learning activities. One of the most powerful entries was a video capturing the boy — once angry and resentful — singing a Mother’s Day song and offering a flower to his mother, a moment that would have once seemed impossible.
“In this digital age, I want to help my students avoid internet addiction. With Gan Jing World, I found a platform that protects their hearts — with goodness and beauty,” said Ms. Chen.
Creating a culture of kindness
But Gan Jing Campus does more than just provide learning resources — it fosters empathy, emotional resilience, and positive behavior among students on a deeper level. Ms. Chen shared how her classroom became a place where students voluntarily supported one another in times of need. When one girl was recovering from surgery, her peers carried her books and helped with lunch for three straight months. When another broke his arm, classmates carried his chair and bag without being asked.
These everyday acts of kindness are at the core of Gan Jing World’s mission. In 2024, Ms. Chen and her class entered the platform’s global “Kindness Is Cool” Video Awards and won the “Best Ensemble Award.” Their short films — including “Kindness Is Truly Cool and A Simple Act of Help” — were even featured on a massive screen in New York’s Times Square. Participants came from over 50 countries, showcasing a global appetite for uplifting and meaningful content.

“The students who participated became more emotionally balanced, developed a more positive attitude, and became more accepting of classmates with learning or emotional challenges,” Ms. Chen said. “Their academic performance also improved, and they began to shine in competitions.”
A platform that protects and empowers

Because of that, my students feel safe and happy learning online,” said Ms. Chen. “Parents often express their appreciation. One parent told me, ‘Your videos are so thoughtful and heartfelt. Seeing my child take learning seriously at school truly brings me joy.’”
Gan Jing Campus not only benefits students but empowers teachers to connect more deeply with families and communities. The platform offers tools to organize content, engage students in moral education, and share achievements in a safe and positive space.
Uplifting education
Ms. Chen’s success is not an isolated story. Today, more than 400 teachers across the world have joined Gan Jing Campus, harnessing the power of its premium channels to enhance learning and cultivate character in students. With the platform’s support, these educators are turning classrooms into communities and students into compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
“Gan Jing World gives students a safe space to share their acts of kindness — and lets the world see them. That’s the kind of education that transcends borders,” said Ms. Chen.
Gan Jing World plans to expand its impact even further. By the end of 2025, it aims to support 1,000 teachers through the Gan Jing Campus Sponsorship Program — providing them with the tools, funding, and visibility to inspire change.
The platform is gaining international recognition for its impact. In March 2025, Indonesia’s Batam City Education Department declared March 28 “Gan Jing World Day” in honor of its positive influence. “We welcome Gan Jing World as a friendly and kind digital platform for everyone. Our children need a space of kindness — one that contributes to world peace. Let’s build a clean and safe world together,” said Zulkarnain HN, Head of Batam’s Youth and Sports Department.
In Argentina, the Province of Santiago del Estero officially recognized Gan Jing World as a platform of educational, cultural, and social value, praising its positive contributions to education and family life.
