1. Set goals — and achieve them
A person without goals is like a ship sailing the open sea without a compass, never reaching shore. Learn to set practical, achievable goals for yourself every year, month, week, and day — and make your best effort to accomplish them. Stick to this rhythm day after day. After one year, three years, or five years, you will have built a remarkable record of achievement that you can truly be proud of.
2. Help others succeed as much as you can
Helping someone requires a willingness to give, a caring heart, and the ability to offer real support. At its core, social interaction is about continually helping others succeed in different ways. Share your knowledge and resources, your time and energy, your friendship and compassion — keep creating value for others. Remember: helping others is ultimately helping yourself. In return, you will gain more happiness, friendships, goodwill, care, and generosity.
3. Keep building and expanding your network
Relationships are a form of productivity — and a major source of happiness. To develop a wider, richer, and more multi-layered social circle, you need a clear plan for cultivating your network. For example: a leadership circle, sports circle, music circle, fashion circle, management circle, food circle, travel circle, and more. In each circle, aim to have one or two close, trusted, and harmonious friends. This way, no matter what difficulties you face or what tasks you need to accomplish, there will always be someone in your network who can help.
4. Stay in regular contact with friends
Friends shouldn’t only come to mind when you need something. As you build and expand your social circles, make a habit of connecting regularly with the people in them. For example: play sports together, watch movies, grab coffee, share meals, travel together, or simply talk and catch up. Frequent interaction deepens friendship and strengthens bonds over time.

5. Be brave and confident
A successful person is always brave and self-assured. Cultivating courage and confidence allows you to navigate your career with strength, overcome challenges, and achieve remarkable results. Continuously develop your self-confidence and bravery so that in work, entrepreneurship, or any endeavor, you can seize opportunities and create success.
6. Respect others
All people are equal — there is no hierarchy in worth, no measure in wealth, and no distinction in status or dignity. Those who consistently show respect to others will earn respect in return. Avoid arrogance or looking down on others; humility is the key to building strong, lasting relationships.
7. Be 100% prepared for everything
Success belongs to those who are prepared. Before doing anything or meeting anyone, make sure you are fully ready. Prepare your mindset, your time, your energy, your materials, and your knowledge. Being well-prepared increases your chances of achieving meaningful and lasting success.
8. Develop the habit of making lists
For daily tasks, important matters, or client meetings, create a list organized by time and priority. Complete each task according to your plan. This cultivates habits of orderliness, focus, and persistence, which are essential for consistent productivity and success.
9. Read for 30 minutes every day
“There is a treasure in books.” Make it a habit to read daily, focusing on quality books, and take time to reflect on what you learn. By steadily expanding your knowledge and broadening your perspective, even small daily efforts will accumulate, eventually leading to remarkable progress.
10. Learn to share
Be a generous sharer. Share your insights, talents, skills, experiences, perceptions, resources, news, awareness, and passion with friends. Sharing is not only a way to help others but also a powerful tool for enhancing your own abilities and achieving success.
11. Focus on work quality
Success in work isn’t measured by how much you do, but by how meaningful and valuable your work is. Develop a habit of delivering high-quality work and improving efficiency — in doing so, you are effectively enhancing your overall performance.
12. Follow up promptly on everything
Whether it involves your boss, friends, colleagues, subordinates, or family, always follow up on matters you’ve discussed or agreed upon. Leaving things unresolved undermines trust. Providing timely updates and satisfactory responses builds credibility. Effective follow-up is therefore an essential professional habit.
13. Be honest in life and responsible in work
Always uphold integrity in your personal conduct — let your word carry weight, honor your promises, and if something cannot be fulfilled, inform others honestly and explain the reasons. Take responsibility for everything you do, cultivating a habit of accountability. When you are responsible, others will respond in kind.
14. Exercise for one hour every day
Life thrives on movement. Engage in one hour of aerobic exercise daily — such as morning workouts, post-meal jogging, or playing badminton — to stretch your muscles, loosen your joints, and boost your mood. A healthy body is the foundation and capital for a successful career.
15. Find someone more skilled than you to learn from every day
Confucius said, “Among any three people, there is always one who can be my teacher.” Regularly seek out and engage with people who excel in areas where you want to improve. By learning, consulting, and communicating with them, you gain more knowledge, skills, and insights, enriching your own talents.
16. Develop the habit of reading aloud for 10 minutes daily to improve language fluency
Consistently reading aloud enhances your verbal fluency — the ability to communicate confidently with anyone, in any situation. This is a common trait among many successful people. Spend ten minutes each day practicing, and you will improve your expression skills, enabling more natural and effective communication in public.
17. Cultivate honesty and authenticity
Sincerity is the key to effective interpersonal communication. The best way to break silence is to speak from the heart. Always act with conscience and integrity, speak the truth, and do meaningful work. By doing so, you build stronger relationships and genuine friendships, and others will respond to you with equal honesty and sincerity.
18. Maintain the habit of listening
Successful people excel at communication, but true communication is not just about speaking well — it’s about listening. Understanding others’ intentions, thoughts, and goals allows you to better comprehend them, be understood in return, and achieve harmonious interactions.
19. Stay focused and professional
Successful people are both focused and professional. In this world, only experts truly win. Repeating simple tasks consistently can make you an expert, and doing them joyfully demonstrates true focus. Stay focused, enhance your expertise, and become a winner in life.
20. Build your personal brand reputation
Just as products gain consumer recognition through an outstanding brand, individuals earn respect and acknowledgment from friends, family, colleagues, and subordinates through a strong personal brand. Cultivating a personal brand requires consistent effort. Every day, strive to uphold the “Four Principles”: act with integrity, demonstrate character, show courtesy, and speak honestly.
21. Be humble and cautious, avoid arrogance and impatience
Pride brings loss, humility brings gain. Being humble in life and work allows you to access better resources, understanding, and recognition. Arrogance is a harmful trait — it can make you forget true friends and the value of friendship. Maintain humility, help others grow, and even allow them to surpass you, all with a modest heart.
22. Maintain a joyful and calm mindset daily
A joyful spirit brings a pleasant expression; a pleasant expression fosters harmony; harmony generates prosperity. First, manage your emotions to perform well. A good mindset and positive mood lead to better relationships, friendships, and opportunities.
Many people hesitate to pursue success not because it is unattainable, but because they subconsciously set a “limit” for themselves — a mental barrier suggesting that success is impossible. Stop imposing these self-limits and open yourself to possibilities.
