U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a nationwide address on the evening of Wednesday, April 1, stating that after 32 consecutive days of U.S. military operations, Iran no longer poses a threat. He said that following weeks of intense strikes, Iran has been “severely weakened, even destroyed.”
However, Trump also emphasized that the U.S. is preparing for further military action in the coming weeks, even as diplomatic negotiations continue.
Trump said in his speech: “Tonight, I can tell everyone that we are on track to soon accomplish all U.S. military objectives. Very soon, extremely soon—in the next two to three weeks—we will deliver extremely powerful strikes against them.”
He further stressed: “We will push them back to the Stone Age. At the same time, negotiations are ongoing.”
Discussing military progress, Trump highlighted U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. He stated that missions carried out by B-2 bombers have “completely destroyed” the relevant nuclear facilities and warned that if Iran attempts to restore nuclear material, the U.S. will swiftly carry out another round of strikes.

Trump said: “The nuclear facilities we destroyed with B-2 bombers are so severely damaged that no one will be able to approach that nuclear debris for months.”
He added: “If we see any movement, even the slightest attempt in that direction, we will hit them hard with missiles.”
Currently, the fate of Iran’s enriched uranium reserves remains unclear. According to estimates by international monitoring agencies, Iran may still possess around 900 to 1,000 pounds of uranium near weapons-grade concentration, a key focus of international concern.

Meanwhile, the conflict has already had a significant impact on global energy markets, causing heightened volatility and pushing up domestic fuel prices in the U.S.
On the issue of rising oil prices, Trump blamed Iran for recent attacks on commercial shipping and regional infrastructure. He said: “Many Americans are concerned about the recent rise in gasoline prices. This short-term increase is entirely due to the Iranian regime’s reckless terrorist attacks on commercial oil tankers and neighboring countries.”
Trump also noted that the strikes have had a major impact on Iran’s political and military leadership, with several key figures already dead, and hinted that Iran’s power structure has changed.
He said: “We never said we would pursue regime change, but regime change has already occurred because their original leaders are all gone.” He also warned that if Iran does not reach an agreement with the U.S., American forces will launch a new round of large-scale strikes on its power grid.
“If there is no agreement, we will hit all their power plants very hard, likely simultaneously,” he said.
In addition, Trump claimed that Iran’s air defense system has been completely destroyed. He said: “They no longer have any air defense equipment. Their radar systems have been destroyed 100 percent, and we are unstoppable.”
