Fashion meets (life saving) function on the Hong Kong runway. No that isn’t famed batman nemesis Bane, that’s a new fashion trend tailored for Hong Kong and mainland Chinese fashionistas.

Beijing and Hong Kong based English designer, Nina Griffee, introduced her line of outfits that incorporate Vogmask masks at Hong Kong Fashion Week. http://www.vogmask.com

Making the depressing and unflattering face mask into a fashion statement will encourage the style conscious crowd to take care of their lungs until China can solve the air pollution levels.

Already known for their high-quality reusable masks, Vogmask says their “future forward product…helps face environmental challenges (poor air quality, pollen, dust, and germs) by combining excellent designs and superior filtering in a range of eco-friendly face masks.”

Check out this video from the runway.
