Chinese Police Clash With Over 10,000 Protesters, 2 Dead, Dozens Hurt (Video + Pics)

Thousands of people have been demonstrating in the streets of Sansui County in Guizhou Province after local authorities tricked farmers into selling their land as part of an amalgamation with two other counties.

The Communist Party Secretary in Sansui reportedly onsold the land to investors for a profit, and the local people have now lost their income.

People in the area have gone on strike, and shops are closed. Thousands of police were dispatched to break up the protest, equipped with armed trucks, and police dogs. Even helicopters have been sent in.

Two protesters were beaten to death on Oct. 13, and over 100 were injured with many arrested, according to Tencent News.
