Ghostbusters Old and New Reunite to See If the New ‘Ghostbusters’ Remake Meets Expectations

In a historical moment the surviving main cast of the original 1984 Ghostbusters meet the cast of the new film and congratulate them on a job well done. Of course, the fans will have the final verdict. Early trailers of the movie have been receiving nothing but hate on the Internet and nothing but doubt from fans of the original movie.

The release date is July 15, so at that point fans will either give up hope in ever having the experience of the original movie, or celebrate and wonder how the new cast could pull it off despite all the pressure. Bill Murray thinks they managed to do it. Some extreme fans have already refused to even watch the movie, feeling that it will just ruin the memories they have of the original.

Honestly, the movie looks funny. No movie can be just like another, unless it does what the new Star Wars movie did and just completely borrow from the original story to the point of almost copying it. But, with a new cast this unique, that is almost impossible, and it would be best to play to the strengths of these four funny ladies anyway.

It’s amazing how no matter how many years have passed, some movie franchises just can’t leave the public consciousness.
