Robot-Run Restaurant Opens in Jiangsu Province

A restaurant has opened in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province that uses an all-robot serving staff, robot greeters, and robot cooks.

Two robots greet customers at the door. Robots then deliver food to the customers. In the kitchen, the androids are programmed to stir-fry, and make dumplings.

Each robot costs about the same as a yearly employee salary ($6,500). Last year, China surpassed Japan as the world’s leading consumer of industrial robots.

The restaurant seems to be an especially big hit with the kids.
