News about the Ebola outbreak is everywhere right now. I am not surprised. According to the WHO: “The current outbreak in West Africa (first cases notified in March 2014) is the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976.”
Recently, the WHO announced that there could be up to 10,000 new cases of Ebola within two months, he Guardian reported. Over the past few weeks, there have been around 1,000 cases of Ebola recorded per week. On a more positive note, survivors of Ebola who have developed immunity to the virus are being trained to care for children in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This is giving kids the human contact and love they need when touching is feared.
