Two High Energy Cello Stars Play Hard and Break Strings

This is what a classical musician has to do in this day and age to capture the attention of the young masses, he has to get all rock and roll on you.

The guys are creative. They basically perform like rock stars, instead of with the calm, cool ease of a classical musician. They shred bow strings from playing hard. At one point they take out electric cellos to go off on rocking solos.

They indeed move into playing rock when they do a classical conversion of Iron Maiden’s The Trooper.

In the video they manage to turn around a rock venue.

They bring a doubtful crowd to rock out to classical music.

I don’t know if more classical musicians should take quite their approach, but we definitely need to fill more stages with classical music.
