When 1,000 musicians play your song all at once, it must make you feel pretty special. That’s what happened to the Foo Fighters when people came together to play their Learn to Fly in Italy.

The idea came from Fabio Zaffagnini, who said that the Foo Fighters have not been to Cesena, Italy, since 1997. “It’s time to get them back, but we need a crazy idea.”

That’s when he came up with the idea “we will ask one thousand rockers to play one of their songs, all together and at the same time.”

The hope is that Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters front man, will see it and be interested to go to Romagna and play.

I must admit it’s a fantastic job. The event’s creator Fabio Zaffagnini said: “What we did here is a huge, huge miracle, one thousand rockers that came from all over the nation at their own expense, and they just did one song—your song. We ask you, the Foo Fighters, to come play for us.”

There is no official response from the Foos yet, but this kind of thing worked out for Richmond, Virginia, last year, and this certainly seems like something Grohl would be very much behind. The band is currently on tour in Asia in support of last year’s Sonic Highways, reported Fuse TV.
