At the center of her work is a simple but powerful message she repeats throughout her practice: “Love yourself.”
A journey that started with personal healing
Wendy Javier shared that I Choose Me Too was first created in 2016, long before her nonprofit work began.
“I started coaching women in 2016… empowering women first through workshops, retreats, and small get-togethers,” she said. But her deeper motivation came later in life. “When I turned around 40 years old, I realized I wasn’t happy… I felt that I came into this world for more.”
She described how her natural role as a supporter of others began early. “Even when I was very young, people would come to me for support, for guidance, for advice,” she said. “I didn’t realize I was doing all of that until I was much older.”
That early pattern eventually became her life’s direction. “Slowly and little by little, I kept learning and educating until I decided that this is what I wanted to do in my life—help other people.”

From women’s coaching to trauma-informed healing
As her work evolved, so did her training. Wendy transitioned from general life coaching into trauma-informed and subconscious transformation work, including certification in Neuro-Identity Evolution.
“I wanted to be able to tap into who we truly are—our inner knowing, our soul,” she said. “Why are we here? What do we want, and why are we not doing it?”
She emphasized that many emotional struggles are rooted in early life experiences. “Everything starts at the root of when you were young,” she explained. “What happened to you when you were young? What did you perceive?”
According to Wendy, many adult challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress are tied to what she calls “emotional patterns” or “emotional addictions.”
“We think we can’t do or be better,” she said. “But we are our own solution.”
Breathwork, nervous system healing, and self-regulation
A central part of her Soulful Awakening Journey coaching program involves somatic breathwork, which she uses to help clients regulate their nervous systems.
“Regulating the nervous system is the first important part of coaching,” she said. “You cannot start talking about patterns and behaviors until you take five minutes for yourself.”
She described her signature practice, Exhale Liberation, as a guided breathwork experience that combines music and intentional breathing.
“We go for about 45 minutes,” she said. “Sometimes people laugh hysterically, sometimes they cry. Most people cry because they’re emotionally tapping into their body.”
The goal, she explained, is release and clarity. “People leave feeling lighter… their shoulders are relaxed because they’re not in that fight-or-flight state anymore.”

Challenges facing clients today
Wendy said many clients struggle with emotional overwhelm and long-standing self-limiting beliefs.
“Anxiety, stress, depression… but all of those come from emotional patterns,” she said. “We think we have to live lives that aren’t even ours.”
She added that many people unconsciously repeat childhood and generational cycles. “We are 50 years old and still acting like we’re five years old emotionally,” she said. “It’s about conscious awareness.”
Community healing and choosing yourself
Wendy emphasized that healing requires support and connection.
“You cannot do it alone,” she said. “Change happens when you support me, and I uplift you back.”
She also works with schools and families to support youth development. “These youth are the most important part of tomorrow,” she said. “If we don’t teach them, then why are we here?”
At the core of her message is self-love. “Love yourself,” she said. “If you don’t choose yourself, you cannot help another person.”
For Wendy, self-love is the foundation of change: “We are our own problem, but we are also our own solution.”
Looking ahead
Through coaching programs, breathwork sessions, retreats, and online coaching, Wendy continues expanding her work throughout the Hudson Valley and wherever it is needed around the world, including leading both local and international retreats.
Her message to the community remains simple: “We are still here to remind you that healing is possible… and you don’t have to do it alone.”
For Wendy, it all comes back to one core belief: choosing yourself is where transformation begins.
