Candy is the name of a 5-year-old parrot in China. He is a lovely blue-eyed cockatoo, and was the pet of a senior manager of a Chinese company. Candy was happy and much loved. He was fluffy and beautiful back then.
However, the owner got pregnant one year ago. Because the doctor advised her not to have close contact with birds, Candy got put in a separate room. Unexpectedly, Candy became very depressed, and began to peck and pluck out his own feathers.
Things got worse as time went by. (He now looks like a wrinkled little dinosaur). So the first owner gave Candy away to Honwei Zhu, and asked him to take care of him and give him medical treatment.
The Zhu runs a tea house. He noticed that Candy has high IQ and likes to be around people. He got depressed mainly because he felt he was forgotten and deserted.
So Zhu has been taking Candy to hang out at the tea house, hoping he will cheer up.
The lovely thing is, since Candy has been hanging out at the tea house for the past month, he has almost become his old self again. He will say a few words, or mumble his own name, when he is in good mood.
